Welcome from the Vicar

Hyvinkää is a vibrant railroad city in northern Uusimaa. It is the fifth largest city in Uusimaa after Helsinki, Espoo, Vantaa and Porvoo. At the end of 2018, there were some 46,500 inhabitants, out of whom about 32,000 people belonged to the Hyvinkää Evangelical Lutheran Parish.

Our parish belongs to the Diocese of Espoo and the Tuusula Dungeon. We celebrated our 100th anniversary in 2017 which was the same year that Finland celebrated 100 years of independence. Our activities and services are versatile and there is something for all age groups.

Our values are faith, hope and love. Our vision is that each spiritual life and connection to the church itself will be strengthened.

In addition to the needs of our own church, Hyvinkää is also a strong missionary church.

In our online service you will find plenty of information about the weekly activities in our church. There are links to various sections of the Church Portal that contain news, backgrounds and building blocks for spiritual life.

Feedback and questions can be sent either from the feedback link or by sending a message to an individual employee's email. Feedback messages are always sent to the relevant department or employee.

We hope you find the information you are looking for on our website. We also appreciate feedback on our pages and any suggestions you might have for future development.

The Hyvinkää Parish is here for you. Don't hesitate to contact us!
